About the Company
Our client is a global provider of mission-critical financial technology, investment accounting, and fund administration services. They possess a vast, interconnected portfolio of SaaS platforms and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions.
Operating out of an international, flexible work environment, they are looking to aggressively expand their footprint across North Asia. They have a significant, established prospect list and are seeking a hungry, driven sales professional to capitalize on this and open relationships and close deals across the region.
The Role
As a Regional Sales Executive based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for driving new business across North Asia, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.
You will not be starting from a blank piece of paper. You will be handed a significant prospect list and your mandate is to get in the door, uncover the operational pain points of asset managers, pension funds, and wealth administrators, and creatively structure solutions utilizing the firm's vast array of SaaS and BPO offerings.
You will be heavily supported by a dedicated operations and client services team who will join you in meetings to handle deep product technicalities, allowing you to focus on building relationships and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue across North Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, China) by selling complex SaaS solutions and lift-out BPO services to asset managers and wealth administrators.
- Act as a true "hunter," aggressively pursuing new clients and capitalizing on warm introductions from the firm's global divisions and recent acquisitions.
- Manage a fast to mid-paced sales cycle (typically 3 to 12 months), driving urgency and closing deals efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with internal product experts and operations teams during the pre-sales process to design tailored solutions for clients.
- Cross-sell collaboratively with other internal divisions to structure multi-divisional transformation deals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Sales Profile: You are a pure "hunter." You are aggressive, hungry, and driven by closing deals. You do not need to be a product encyclopedia; you need to be a closer who can leverage internal experts effectively.
- Experience Level: You likely have 3 to 8 years of experience. We are not looking for someone who is accustomed to 36-month sales cycles. We want agility and urgency.
- Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the financial services industry ideally asset management, pension administration, or wealth administration—is highly preferred. You should come from a vendor or asset management background rather than a pure custodial bank.
- Linguistic Fluency: Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is mandatory to effectively navigate relationships across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China.
- Ambition: You are looking for a platform that can offer career growth. This firm is acquisition-heavy and highly malleable; successful salespeople have opportunities to expand their geographic remit or transition into different global divisions.
