Finance Officer

About the Role
The primary focus of the next phase of the role will be supporting the delivery of the Direct Payments Bank Account to Prepaid Card Transition Project, alongside wider Adult Care Services Income responsibilities.
Key duties will include processing incoming post, managing financial documentation, supporting project implementation, collaborating with partner teams, and responding flexibly to emerging service priorities. Please note that your duties will vary day to day depending on which department is needing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload
- Support the implementation and embedding of standardised direct payment monitoring processes
- Strengthen working relationships and handovers with Operational Teams, Brokerage, Client Financial Services and Debt Recovery teams to improve service
- To participate in data cleansing of existing client accounts.
- Liaising with internal teams, care providers, and external organisations
- Using multiple case management systems to maintain accurate records
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous finance experience
- Excellent numerical ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Confident using various case management systems
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, spreadsheets, data handling)
