Pay Rate: £13.88 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
Contract: Temporary assignment for a minimum of 3 months with a possibility of extension
Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for an Inventory & Stock Co-ordinator to join a busy operations team in Slough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in ensuring stock is accurately managed and available when needed.
This role is based within a busy automotive workshop environment that specialises in vehicle glass replacement and repair. It would particularly suit candidates who have experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Assistant, Stores Person, Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative or in a similar role within a garage, automotive, motor trade, fleet, logistics or workshop environment.
Role Overview
As an Inventory & Stock Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of physical and system-based stock management, ensuring products are received, stored, tracked and supplied efficiently. You will play a key role in supporting operational performance while delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Receive, organise and monitor stock levels using company systems.
- Support and undertake stock deliveries as required.
- Ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy when completing paperwork and using IT systems.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, technicians and customers.
- Resolve stock discrepancies and support continuous stock accuracy improvements.
- Plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively using multiple systems and applications.
- Support operational activities and undertake additional duties as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company standards.
- Represent the business professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management or a stores/parts role.
- Experience within a garage, workshop, automotive, motor trade or vehicle parts environment would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using IT systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential
