Stores Team Leader

Stores Team Leader (ST/TL/EL) Skelmanthorpe, England

Salary: GBP11 - GBP15 per hour

Major Recruitment are currently seeking a stores Team Leader for our client based in the Huddersfield area. Due to continued growth and expansion our client is now seeking to strengthen their stores team with the addition of a Team Leader.

Ideally you will have come from a manufacturing background and have experience in managaing small teams within a stores enviroment.

Responsibility;

Control on-time delivery and quality of goods purchased by the company.

Maintain stores area, and workshop stock systems in an efficient and orderly condition, including reporting of maintenance issues.

Control the effective and efficient processing of WO’s through stores and cutting areas.

Organize goods inward, kitting, cutting, test and despatch resources to enable effective operation of these key areas.

 

KEY TASKS:

 

Goods Receipt:

Progress and action late supplier deliveries.

Investigate and report critical stock problems before they occur to Production Control/Purchasing

Maintain adequate quarantine regime for un-inspected and inspected goods

Accurate paperwork control on purchase orders and delivery notes.

Accurate storage and identification of received goods including MRP system location update.

Observe correct handling procedures for specialist parts - e.g. ESD precautions

Maintain accurate faultfinding reporting for faulty/incorrect/shortages on goods.

 

Picking and Kitting:

Control the Issuing of WO BOM’s through the MRP system.

Control of priorities for works orders processing within the stores, cutting and the workshop holding area, including reporting of late starts to Production Control.

Accurate assembly and safe storage of kits for cutting and main technical area

Notification and control of shortages, including accurate maintenance of stock figures.

Maintain and control correct handling procedures and special area control - e.g. ESD precautions

 

General Stock Maintenance:

Eliminate unauthorised access to stores in order to retain stock integrity

Notification and adjustment of stock figures for stock outs either from kitting or as advised by workshop support.

Maintain accurate stock figures - examine and identify reasons for shortages and make necessary adjustments.

Accurate restocking of parts returned from workshop.

Annual stocktake support

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

Provide cover for Support Team in Progress Chasing, Test and Despatch – support role only.

 

General and Housekeeping:

Control and Maintain clean and orderly stores, entrance and workshop storage areas.

Organise loading and unloading of van for deliveries

Monitor and control Daily Work Plans for Team members
