HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)

Pay: £17.00–£21.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work with our established client based in Hythe, Kent.

This is a genuine ongoing opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for regular long-distance trunking work. Routes primarily cover the Midlands, including Solihull, Derby and Coventry.

The majority of the work is trunking, with occasional delivery drops depending on the route.

Previous Class 1 driving experience, curtain-side experience and CMR documentation experience are essential.

The Role

• HGV Class 1 trunking from Hythe to the Midlands.
• Regular routes to Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
• Predominantly trunking with occasional delivery drops.
• Operating curtain-sided trailers.
• Completing CMRs and associated transport documentation.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Working within Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Maintaining a professional service at all times.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Curtain-side experience – essential.
• CMR documentation experience – essential.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
