Looking for your next opportunity within robotics and simulations? Look no further! Our client located in Santa Clara, CA is searching for a Robotics Systems Engineer that will assist in developing their flagship robotic platform, which will be utilized for minimally invasive procedures.
The ideal candidate will be reponsible for building and maintaining simulation tools for surgical robotic systems, enabling the model-based analysis framework to support technical trades and decisions. The role requires a strong background in the kinematics/dynamics of multi-axis systems, robot manipulators, physics, data analytics, and simulation modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain computational and logical models for key system performance aspects and behaviors.
• Create and execute realistic robotic system simulations utilizing the NVIDIA ecosystem, including tools like Isaac Sim and Omniverse.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis of surgical robotics systems within cloud-based computational platforms.
• Collaborate closely with design teams to create solutions that align with requirements and mitigate risks.
• Lead technical discussions and multi-functional team meetings with a digital-first approach.
• Contribute to building a knowledge database for digital assets and techniques applicable across projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum B.S (Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or other related Engineering field equivalent) and 3+ years of industry experience with proven success in Robotics Systems or M.S. or Ph. D. and 0+ years of industry experience with proven success in Robotics Systems.
• Solid foundation in kinematics, multi-body dynamics, and control of multi-axis mechanical applications is required.
• Proven experience with NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim for robotics simulation. Experience working with cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to partition, decompose, and solve complex engineering problems in cross-domain contexts.
• Strong experience in robotics simulation, motion planning, and optimization is required.
• Experience with physics-engine; strong mathematical background; experience working with robotic arms is preferred.
• Proficiency in high-level analysis languages MATLAB/Simulink and Python is preferred
