SDET w/ XML and JSON

Job Description:

Position: SDET
Duration: CTH
Location: Tampa, FL or Jersey City, NJ (hybrid, 3 days onsite)

 

Our client is needing to bring on 2 SDET people who have basic experience with Java and strong in Manual and Automation testing with XML and JSON. 



  1. Can you provide a % breakdown of this person’s day?
    1. Everyday will start on with a stand up meeting
    2. Manager has seen many people come on and do not pay attention during these and that is a big red flag to him!
    3. They will then review the data. They must know what the data is that they are creating and what it represents. They use Xml, json
    4. They will then start a user story and begin manually testing it
    5. Once they are confident in the user story and passed the manual testing, they will automate it
    6. Once that is done they the story is complete
  2. What are the top 3- 5 skills needed for this job?
    1. Strong experience with XML and JSON
    2. Basic Java experience an knowledge
      1. Manager would like us to conduct a basic Java coding test to ensure they know the basics
      2. Manual and Automation test experience
  3. Is this role REMOTE, Hybrid, Onsite?
    1. If any onsite, where? Prefers Tampa but is open to Jersey City
  5. How soon do you need this person?
    1. ASAP
  6. Extra notes:
    1. SDET role
      1. Not a developer role
    2. Sr level position
      1. Someone with 7+ years of experience
      2. They will NOT be a lead, wanting someone that is a contributor
    3. Automation experience with either Selenium, TestNG, or rest assured
    4. Experience with Junit is a plus
    5. Would like to see a basic java programming test
