Head of / Senior Manager - Operations (Air Shipment) (SMOPDL) Hong Kong

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring successful delivery towards business objectives. 
  • Oversee the implementation and enhancement of operational systems, technology solutions, and process improvements.
  • Develop and execute operational performance strategies to drive efficiency, service excellence, and continuous improvement. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored operational solutions for customers and business stakeholders. 
  • Monitor key operational performance indicators, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and external partners on infrastructure and operational enhancement initiatives. 
  • Lead quality management programmes and ensure compliance with international standards, internal operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and ongoing compliance.
  • Oversee operational training frameworks, certification programmes, and capability development initiatives. 
  • Coordinate leadership visits, stakeholder engagements, and operational reviews. 
  • High-performance culture focused on quality, safety, customer service, innovation, and cost efficiency. 
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals to achieve operational and business targets.

Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience within logistics, transportation, aviation, supply chain, or multinational operational environments. 
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience in a leadership capacity. 
  • Strong background in operational excellence, programme management, process optimization, and systems implementation.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience leveraging data and performance metrics to drive business improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Highly proficient with digital tools, operational systems, and technology-driven solutions. 
  • Fluent in English and Chinese; Cantonese is essential, while Mandarin would be an advantage.
