Job Title: Drafter/Designer
Location: Minneapolis
Salary: Up to $100K + 10-15% bonus
Our client is seeking a skilled Drafter to support the development of permit, construction, and fabrication drawings for piping systems. This role involves creating efficient designs, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring accurate project documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate engineering, fabrication, and construction drawings for mechanical piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Produce piping drawings for permitting, fabrication, and construction while collaborating with engineers, designers, and in-house fabricators.
- Create process piping layouts, spool drawings, and bills of materials for projects, including detailed pipe routing models.
- Review and revise shop drawings to maintain quality and accuracy; update drawings as necessary to prevent delays.
- Conduct field surveys and produce as-built drawings using 3D Leica scanners or other measurement tools, incorporating 3D scans into the modeling process.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of detailing/coordination experience in mechanical piping design or 3+ years in pipe fitting/fabrication.
- Field drafting experience in an industrial setting, with proficiency in Revit.
