Salary: GBP12 - GBP14 per hour

Export Operations Clerk

Location: Hounslow – Heathrow Gateway
Duration: Temporary position with a potential perm
Pay rate: £12 - £14 per hour (£25,000 - £30,000 equivalent per annum)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm

An opportunity has arisen for an Export Operations Clerk to join our client based at the Heathrow Gateway. This role oversees daily regional operations by suppliers and vendors including 3PL providers.

Compliance checks required for the Export Operations Clerk
This is a fast moving role and the successful candidate would need to be able to start immediately and will include DBS and 5 YEAR background check.


The Export Operations Clerk will be responsible for
• Arranging Air Export shipments to worldwide destinations
• Arranging collections
• Providing a first class customer service
• Completing export entries and customs documentation
• Cutting Hawb / Mawb
• Negotiating with hauliers, airlines, customers, overseas offices and agents


The Export Operations Clerk must possess the following skills and experience
• Experience with a freight forwarding company
• Experienced in customers clearances, customs documentation and shipments
• Customs knowledge required and the ability to complete Export entries
• Good communications skills able to liaise with clients, hauliers, airlines, overseas offices and agents regarding shipments and offloads etc
• Good PC skills to include MS Excel
• Awareness of KPI’s and able to produce KPI reports
• Confident and able to use initiative
• General support and admin duties

Desirable skills and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics or Commerce
• Global supply chain management knowledge
