Your Role

As Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the Finance Business Partners in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing monthly central recharges across business units
• Reconciling recharges quarterly and communicating variances
• Supporting month-end close and reporting across P&L and balance sheet
• Posting journals and assisting with financial commentary
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations with full audit trail
• Supporting internal and external stakeholders with financial queries
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a general ledger finance role
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Experience engaging with stakeholders collaboratively
• A proactive, “can-do” attitude and team spirit

Desirable:

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with P&L reporting, accruals, and variance analysis
