Location: Bellevue, WA
Salary: $140,000- $180,000 + 10-20% Bonus

They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join their team in Bellevue, WA.
Job Summary:
As a Heavy Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating the costs of construction projects, preparing detailed and accurate cost proposals, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a deep understanding of heavy civil construction, and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate proposals.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and material takeoffs.
- Analyze project risks and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, market conditions, and industry trends.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and negotiations with clients.
- Support project teams in managing project budgets and schedules throughout the construction lifecycle.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator, or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in estimating for heavy civil projects such as roadways, bridges, utilities, grading, and infrastructure.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate cost estimates for large-scale projects.
- Experience working with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, HCSS, or similar tools).
- Ability to interpret complex construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction practices, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Knowledge of local and federal construction regulations.
- Certification from an estimating organization (e.g., ASPE) is a plus.
