Summary:
Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor delivering critical infrastructure projects across Ireland. This is a full-time, office-based Talent Acquisition Specialist position in Kilkenny, reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager. The role will support ongoing growth by managing full-cycle recruitment across engineering, site and support functions, partnering closely with hiring managers to deliver high-quality hires and a strong candidate experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple roles and business areas
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines and recruitment strategies
  • Create and facilitate competency-based assessment tests for current roles
    Source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and direct outreach
  • Screen and assess candidates against role requirements and project needs
    Coordinate and support interview scheduling, preparation and feedback processes
  • Manage offers, internal approvals and all candidate communications through to acceptance
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment activity, pipelines and hiring progress
    Ensure a professional, efficient and consistent candidate experience throughout
    Support careers events, graduate engagement initiatives and recruitment campaigns
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to meet future hiring needs
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding processes
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure quality delivery and cost effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, tools and overall efficiency

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition
  • Proven full-cycle recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sourcing capability, particularly through LinkedIn and direct/headhunting methods
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple vacancies at once
  • Strong attention to detail with a professional, solutions-focused approach
  • Degree in Business, HR or a related discipline
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is beneficial
