Hours: 08:00AM–16:15PM
Working Days: Monday–Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent opportunity

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a FLT Warehouse Operative to join a busy team at their Maldon site.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence who is looking for a long-term position.
You will play an important role in ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT)
- Complete daily FLT checks and report any faults
- Pick products accurately and efficiently
- Support the packing room by ensuring packaging materials are available
- Carry out stock rotation in line with site standards
- Report damaged stock and follow the correct quarantine procedures
- Complete vehicle loading and unloading inspections
- Safely load and unload vehicles and containers
- Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and products are protected from damage
- Communicate effectively with hauliers, colleagues and management
- Follow site procedures when dealing with issues or non-compliance
- Ensure all visitors and personnel follow site Health & Safety procedures
- Ensure products are dispatched with the correct documentation
- Complete and update weekly cleaning schedules
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, quality and hygiene
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, FMCG or manufacturing environment
- A valid, externally accredited Counterbalance FLT licence
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
- A valid driving licence for use on public highways
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and HSE procedures
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience using handheld scanners is advantageous
HACCP, ISO and COSHH knowledge is desirable.
