On Site Recruitment Consultant (Canary Wharf) (Ptn ResCon) City of London, England

Pontoon Solutions is part of the Adecco Group and is a global leader in Managed Service Programs.

Working on site for an Financial Services client.  Pontoon is responsible for resourcing/managing all temporary recruiting for this client within EMEA including such locations as UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, and Luxembourg. The Pontoon team consists of the Program Manager, Resource Consultant and Resource Administrator.

Daily tasks to include:

  • Release job requests received from the Client to an approved list of suppliers
  • Receive and screen CVs and forward CVs to Client in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate receipt and forwarding of feedback between managers and suppliers.
  • Co-ordinate interviews between manager and suppliers.
  • Offer successful candidates when required and negotiate acceptable pay rates between manager & supplier.
  • Ensure that all relevant finance, costing and referencing information is obtained before commencement of assignments
  • Request and track receipt of all background checks through to completion and file electronically and in hard copy folders
  • Conducting first day inductions for new starters
  • Collation of exit interview responses
  • Responsible for providing a full consultative recruitment service to the Client’s line managers with regards to the recruitment industry, market trends, and market legislation
  • Advising on market rates for new requests when required
  • Participate in regular meetings with line managers to discuss strategic resource planning
  • Help to raise awareness of the Managed Service Program services to Hiring Managers
  • Involvement with training on Beeline for new Hiring Managers
  • Responsible for front face customer service to the Client’s line managers, following problem resolution through to completion.
  • Responsible for understanding, operating under, and adhering to any related customer employee manuals, employee contracts and relating policies and procedures.
  • Deal with and resolve candidate pay rises and report queries received from Client.
  • Report any non-compliance issues to the Program Manager
  • Providing support on ad hoc Client projects as directed by the Program Manager

Person Profile/ Qualities:

  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills & ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly
  • Have a sound understanding of the recruitment/resourcing process
  • Must be able to handle figures and confidently deal with negotiating costs
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Ability to handle issues and compose responses with a good level of English maintained
  • Be self-motivated and confident in using own initiative
  • Team player
