Accountant

Accountant (JO014301) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Complete general ledger operations
  • Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Assist with reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures
  • Communicate with related banks
  • Assist with preparation of monthly cash flow forecast
  • Assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial report
  • Assist with year-end closings
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when required
  • Assist with other accounting and financial issues

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • Contract Duration: 1 year, extendable
  • Work Schedule: 5 Days a Week, 8 Hours a Day
  • Type of assignment : Contract hire
  • Status: Single Preferred

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience of work in the UAE
  • 5+ years’ related experience
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance principles & practices and financial reporting
  • Proficient with accounting software
  • Proficient with MS Office Software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Express, Adobe)
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
