We are currently looking for a Batch1 Topside HSE Supervisor- Offshore to be based in Doha, Qatar, under the following terms and conditions:

Job Description:

The job holder manages, under the responsibility of Gallaf Batch 2 Lead, all HSE activities related to the Batch 2 contract  Offshore campaign preparation (onshore) and management (Transportation, Installation, hook up and Brown field works).

He shall demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSE rules within his area of responsibility.

The job holder is accountable for the following activities during Batch 2 Project execution:

  • As the Company HSE reference at site, he fully understands, develops and promotes HSE policy ( Incident Free, 10 Golden rules, .), culture and objectives for the project.
  • The correct implementation and adhesion of Contractor with the requirements of the CONTRACT Exhibit L,
  • HSE supervision of the daily activities at Sites
  • Involved within the Offshore Campaign preparation and interface with the offshore T&I and Hook Up leads
  • Special HSE focus on scaffolding activities and working at height + lifting and rigging activities + Work Over Water
  • Being “visible at Site and “walking the talk” with HSE as a priority.
  • Adhere to and effectively communicate Projects HSE Policies.
  • Intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report.
  • Be promoter of HSE at Site as a priority.
  • Attend Project HSE meetings, training and inspection as when invited to.
  • Work closely with the Gallaf HSE Lead to promote the realisation of the Projects HSE objectives.
  • Reviewer of Contractor s ’documents as listed within MDR
  • Follow up and tracking of Contractor HSE Actions Tracking Register (Offshore preparation)
  • Ensure that Contractor is providing a safe working environment and equipment certified, inspected and safe to use,
  • Follow up and tracking of COMPANY HSE Actions Tracking Register (Offshore preparation)
  • Prepare (as per exhibit A-L ) an adapted Incentive Scheme for the Offshore Campaign in agreement with Package Lead and share with Contractor
  • Develop / Follow up the Offshore training/competency Matrix,
  • Prepare in Coordination with the SIMOPS Coordinators (MP & FOPS) the SIMOPS dossiers for the Offshore Campaign
  • Guide Contractor in development of the Bridging documentation for offshore campaign and review
  • Participate to Risk Assessment workshops for offshore activities and SIMOPS sequences.
  • Guide Contractor for JSA preparation and review before submitting to FOPS,
  • Review Contractor Emergency response preparation, on board the JUBs and platforms
  • Review Contractor preparation related to the POB management/organization and personnel tracking system (JUB + Platforms)
  • Skills development as per COMPANY requirements: IF Train the Trainer, MFO, e-Permit (Process + Tool), RCA,
  • High class HSE administration skills, Incident investigation, Cause Tree Analysis lead & reporting.
  • HSE Supervision of the Installation/Hook Up/SIMOPS activities: ensure that the work is carried out in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices.
  • Perform, on a regular basis, Health & Safety inspections in compliance with CPY HSE policy and expectations
  • Ensure that all works are performed without any risk for surrounding areas and environment, .
  • Encourage and promote good HSE practices improvement during Pre Shut Down/SIMOPS Post Shut Down phases,
  • Establish good communication with FOPS / Drilling and Contractor
  • Able to prepare and perform presentation & inductions and to deliver IF training
  • Liaise daily with the Company PTW Coordinator and ensure the correct implementation at site of the e-Permit system by regular PTW inspections/audits
  • Promote the Project HSE policies including the safety observations program,
  • Implement, communicate and monitor the correct implementation of the Incentive Scheme as per Exhibit A, B and L.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Large experience on similar activities at equivalent position.
  • Familiar with Rigging & lifting activities,
  • Senior in Working on height + scaffolding activities,
  • Familiar with TOTAL SA General Specifications,
  • English fluent.
  • Offshore SIMOPS experience,
  • Professional Experience (number of years) : 15
  • Strong experience in offshore campaigns,
  • Good communication and team leading capacities,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Experience within project : (number of years) : 10
  • Good leadership skills and good communication skills,
