Funding Product Control - Newly Qualified (15246188/001) London, England
A Global Investment Firm is looking for a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their Funding Product Control Team based in London.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Preparing daily P&L’s for Synthetic Product Group Business and substantial use of the firm’s accounting systems
•Knowledge of financial products and markets – equity derivatives / swaps / vanilla products.
•Interaction with traders and trading management
•Month-end procedures preparing accounts for posting to the firm’s general ledger
•Intelligent trade review and escalation of unusual activity to management
•To be fully informed of all developments and issues in their trading areas
•Assessing risk inherent in trading positions, whether market, compliance or reputational risk
•Project Work to strengthen and improve controls in systems and workflows
The successful candidate is likely to:
•Be a Qualified Accountant – ACCA / CA / ACA
•Have a good degree and examination record
•Have proven knowledge and skills base in similar roles
•Have a strong character, able to work effectively under great pressure within international team
•Be able to build relationships and communicate effectively with demanding internal clients
•Be highly computer literate and flexible with changing environments
•Be highly driven and motivated willing to take on extra responsibilities
Please note: Newly qualified accountants with Financial Services experience are desirable for this client. The client is looking for Fully Qualified accountants for this team based on the technical requirements of the role.
