My Client is an Investment Bank seeking a Management Accountant (MI Specialist) to join their team based in London.

The ideal candidate would be given the chance to work as part of the Management Reporting Team. Main focus will be on taking full ownership on MI Reporting and liaising with Senior Stakeholders.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparation, production and timely delivery of the monthly MI (Management Information) pack along with process enhancements.
• Performing review of the Daily report (P&L, Balance Sheet and Funds) and requesting changes required.
• Inspection of month end LPA & Corporate Banking Hedge calculations before month can be closed.
• Production of the monthly Presentations Pack, quarterly Board papers and other related reports.
• Assist in providing any ad hoc MI report requested by Senior Management.
• Ensure all reporting deliverables are delivered within the agreed timelines and to good quality standards.
• Assist with initiating Business Change projects with IT / other stakeholders with line manager approval in order to automate processes & reporting that you are responsible for.
• Automate and improve processes eliminating manual spread sheet work wherever possible in the MI, Daily and other processes.
• Be a key player in the management and preparation of the Budget / 5 year plan
• Develop and enhance the MI requirements for the Front Office / Business lines by becoming the Finance Business Partner
• Prepare regular forecasts for MI
• Preparation of other routine / ad-hoc reports and projects.
• Special investigations and modelling using advanced excel skills.
• Ensuring all MI models are constantly updated as per business needs can easily provide information in both external financial statement format and internal management accounts format.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• ACCA / ACA / CA Qualified
• Time Management Skills - Ensure tight deadlines are met and work well under pressure
• Ability to work well on own and as part of a team
• Good communication skills – Be able to build relationships with Front Office Business Lines
• A commercial understanding of the Bank’s business and products offered
• “Continuous improvement mind-set” to ensure processes are made more efficient
• Flexibility on working hours is necessary to meet peaks in workloads
• Flexibility on the type of workload requested to complete
• Excellent Excel skills
