Process Improvements Technician / Mechanical Engineering Graduate
2 month + temporary assignment

Excellent opportunity for someone from a process improvements background or a confident mechanical Engineering graduate to work for a successful manufacturer on an improvements project to improve quality, efficiency and productivity. You will need excellent attention to detail and great aptitude for problem solving and the ability to communicate and get the best out of people. The role is Immediately available on a temp basis it may lead to permanent role for the right candidate.

Daily duties as Process Improvements Technician / Mechanical Engineering Graduate will include:
Supporting production by implementing improvements & resolving process issues
Producing standard work instructions and work with operators to implement them
Produce & control machine setting parameter sheets
Assess & validate the capability of tool changers
Take an active role in SMED activities
Run production trials, produce reports & results
Actively participate in Quick Response Quality Control activities
Assist in the industrialisation of new products focusing on the transfer to production
Provide training to production team members in relation to new products & process changes
Undertake ‘troubleshooting’ projects on existing production which has unacceptable reject rates
Develop/update/check process parameters. Maintain & develop the system.
Participate in cost saving initiatives & contribute improvement ideas
