Forklift Operator

Are you a warehouse worker looking for a job in a reputable company and work with an excellent team environment while maintaining safety as the first priority? Drake International is currently seeking experienced and highly skilled Forklift Operators for Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The prime function of this position is to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping and receiving warehouse products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to 

ensure optimal operation of the business.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift or other hand truck
Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
Perform cycle counts as required
Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped
Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
Identify safety hazards in the workplace
Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
Cross-Docking experience would be an asset.

Requirements

Certified forklift operator on a variety of sit down and stand up forklifts needed.
Shipping/Receiving/Loading in a warehouse setting
2+ years of Material Handling Equipment experience is an asset (forklift, reach truck, electric pallet jack)
Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Compensation & Benefits

$15-18/hour

This is a temporary full-time position with very strong potential to move into a permanent role.
