CNC Operator
A CNC Operator produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machines such as plasma & laser cutting, mills, routers and lathes. The operator keeps records, will maintain quality control specifications and safe operation of the equipment.
A CNC Operator may also:
-Plan and study work orders and parameters
-Verifying of stock for work inventory
-Use basic math, geometry, trigonometry to calculate requirements
-Load/feed machines by lifting stock or operating material loaders
-Maintain safe operational procedures
-Program machines by entering instructions including zero and reference parts, offsets etc
-Complete preventative maintenance and calling for repairs where required
