IT Recruitment Specialist (M/F)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the individual to be involved in all stages of the recruitment and selection of IT contractors. These include:

Stage 1- Recruitment

 Receiving and qualifying job descriptions directly from Clients and Account Managers
 Searching for suitable candidates using a variety of sources including hotlists, current Elan finishers, in-house database, external search engines, referrals and advertising
 Attracting candidates to work through Elan by promoting Elan’s services and clients + values
 Managing applications and short listing suitable candidates within tight deadlines
 Participating job fairs, networking events, etc.

Stage 2 - Selection

 Interview candidates for selection purposes to ensure technical as well as cultural fit (via telephone and/or face to face where possible)
 Fully qualify candidates on the role, location, rate, client requirements (including credit checks or reference policies as required)
 Prepare CVs for submission including filling in coversheets
 Arrange and book interviews, brief and prepare candidates for interview
 Personal and technical testing when required

Stage 3-Offer

 Making offers to candidates with Applicants and Account Management team that ensures 100% closure on the role and negotiate where necessary to ensure take up
 Taking references and any other post-sales activities required such as obtaining candidate’s identification documents, limited company details etc



Person Specification


Experience

Experience within a target driven environment. Previous recruitment experience (at least 6-12 months) would be desirable but sales is a must.

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes

 Good computer skills and ability to acquire knowledge of the in-house candidate database swiftly in order to be able to undertake multi-level searches
 Excellent reasoning skills and ability to screen and eventually interview applicants while making sound judgements on suitability
 Excellent telephone skills (basic sales, message handling, service)
 Good presentation skills
 Good knowledge of the market place and of competitors
 Good negotiation skills
 Good technical knowledge
 Ability to project professionalism and personality over the phone and face to face
 Networking skills
 Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
 Good time management skills
 Ability to multi-task
 Excellent attention to detail
