Kelsey Trail Health Region (KTHR) is responsible for the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of health services provided to the Kelsey Trail region of Saskatchewan.
About the Opportunity
Currently, Kelsey Trail Health Region is searching for a full-time, permanent Facility Administrator in Melfort, SK.
Reporting to the Director, the Facility Administrator’s main responsibility is to plan, coordinator, implement, and evaluate the day-to-day operational activities of long term care at the Parkland Place facility.
More specifically your daily activities will include:
- Ensuring quality care, service, and programs are delivered and upheld, by overseeing the implementation of policies and standards that meet with best practices;
- Leading and managing your team while coordinating and delegating tasks to ensure the continuance of effective and efficient operations; and
- Providing overall management of the facility in the absence of Departmental Directors.
To qualify for this role, it is essential that you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Administration, Nursing, or a health-care related field, or that you have a suitable combination of training and experience.
The successful candidate will join the company with a minimum of two years of experience in a previous leadership position, and ideally, you will be knowledgeable of long term care administration. You’ll be at an advantage if you have knowledge of contractual agreements, labour relations, finances and have related health sector skills.
Kelsey Trail Health Region is searching for someone with a solid understanding of government acts and regulations as they apply to the health sector, and you will use your highly developed organizational, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills to lead the company towards success. In addition, you have working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet.
