Job Title: Senior Transmission and Distribution Engineer
Location, City/Country: Based in Bangkok, Thailand, and can be detached to one of our clients for medium term assignment in the region.
Educational Background: Master/Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electro-mechanical Engineering.
Languages Required: Fluent in English. Thai, Burmese or Vietnamese is an asset.
Experience Requirements:
You have minimum 10 years professional experience in Substations engineering / construction / commissioning with at least five years on a project management.
You have experience in operations and planning of electrical network. You have experience in system stability and dynamic studies and good knowledge of power system studies methodologies in general.

You have proven leadership capabilities and you understand the functioning of multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams. You know how to coordinate tasks and resources and have systematic and focused workmanship.
You are at ease in contract negotiation and in communication with Senior Management levels. You are good in dealing with customers and contractors and you have strong presentation and influencing skills.
You are willing to accept short or medium term assignments abroad.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
You will be in charge of the activities concerning the T&D infrastructures (High Voltage Substations/Transmission Lines/Cables projects), from identification and commercial follow-up of opportunities up to design studies and construction. Your field of activity will be regional (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam).
You will give support for Energy Transition projects.
You are in charge of Tender preparation in close collaboration with other Company offices.
T&D projects include:
Project management of engineering services for High Voltage substations/transmission lines/cables projects.
Coordination/Execution of feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering & Design studies.
Preparation of technical concepts incl. coordination with adjacent systems and cost estimation.
Coordination with internal and external parties.
Preparation of technical specifications, bid evaluation, negotiation with suppliers, design review, site supervision and quality control.
Achievement and improvement of the project objectives, in terms of performance, budget and planning. Safety and reliability are your prime concerns.
Finding solutions which are creating value to our customers, and you will at the same time perform high-quality and rigorous engineering analysis.
Management of the budget of the project (cost, performance, guaranties, …), financial status follow-up in collaboration with the Cost Controller, invoices and payments, bank guarantees, ...
Energy Transition projects include:
Similar project management activities.
Executing power system operations and planning studies (electricity generation, transmission, distribution and industrial,…) using dedicated software for System modeling, modeling of its components and controls; Steady-state and dynamic simulations; System security studies.
You are part of the front line for our projects in South East Asia and have direct contacts with our clients.
