Language:
Very good written and spoken English.

Educational Background:
Engineering degree in Electronics or Instrumentation.

Experience Requirements:  
Minimum 8 years’ experience in instrumentation and control system design engineering, commissioning and maintenance with at least 7 years in the Oil and Gas or similar industry.
Good knowledge of SIL requirements, TUV Functional Certification preferable.
High computer literacy in both office and technical / engineering applications
Exhibits good knowledge on field instrumentation (transmitters, control/SD valves, analyzers, F&G detectors) DCS, ESD/F&G Systems, Package PLCs, Anti Surge Control Systems, Metering Systems, Turbine/Compressor Control Systems, Real Time Information Systems and various types of control schemes/principles
Understands international (IEEE, IEC, AGA, ISA etc.) and the Company’s instrumentation standards and carries out instrumentation sizing calculation and able to use related software tools.
Very strong team working skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Stays abreast of state-of-the-art developments in the instrument engineering   discipline, and provides regular information to supervisor regarding new techniques, equipment and materials which may benefit the Company and its operations.

Job Role & Responsibilities:
Providing Technical support to the all company Assets to ensure Asset Integrity.
Design review of drawings, materials submittals, and packages.
Capable of doing all necessary calculations and assessments related to I&C aspects.
Managing the end-to-end engineering solutions related to I&C aspects.
Attend all design meetings and technical workshops.
Ensuring that the designs and project drawings meet the local regulations and international standards, and safety codes.
Capable of performing economic/financial evaluation and feasibility studies for different systems.
Review and Develop equipment strategies to ensure continuity of service and optimum performance of systems. Perform site activities such as supervision & inspection.
Meeting the requirements of the company’s business plan and objectives.
Monitoring and supervising activities related to the I&C Design and recommend projects / suggestions to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Ensuring the consultants / contractors are delivering detailed designs according to the Company’s standards Requirements.
Studies engineering drawings and visits sites to become familiarized with work requirements and the general layout of the facilities, especially DCS and PLC systems, ESD systems and F&G systems, process instrumentation in plant/field and plant analyzers.
Ensures that all instrumentation and control systems drawings, standards, specifications, manuals and data books are kept up-to-date and “as-built” and directs draftsmen and secretaries to carry out all corrections to reflect any alterations, modifications and additions to instrument and control systems.
Carries out various duties related to conducting feasibility studies, developing cost estimates in conjunction with the Cost & Contracts Engineer, personally preparing conceptual or detailed designs or reviewing vendor’s final design drawings for approved projects, preparing capital authorization requests for approval, preparing bills of materials, participating in preparing purchase orders, following up on quotations, conducting technical bid analyses, answering queries from vendors and recommending suppliers or contractors.
Supervises the implementation of minor instrumentation and control systems modification and improvement projects carried out in-house to ensure execution and completion of established Company standards and specifications.  Performs project engineering duties (including cost control, scheduling, contract preparation and administration) when assigned as the project lead engineer.
Carries out various other duties related to major capital investment projects and expense items for modifications and improvements to existing facilities or installation of new facilities to be executed by outside contractors.  Includes participating in technical bid analyses, reviewing design drawings submitted by contractors and proposing amendments as necessary, specifying materials and equipment to be used, and supervising the execution of work to ensure compliance with drawings and Company specifications and standards. Attends meetings with contractors as necessary.
Acts as the focal point for instrumentation and control systems engineering matters and provides expert technical advice to Management and other departments/divisions as required.  Also troubleshoots complex or recurring instrument or control system problems and recommends sound and cost-effective solutions as the problems arise.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
Participate in SIL study workshops and manage SIL related actions.
