1.Responsibilities:

Design, develop and implement Web Applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework; develop business driven programs, unit testing and coordinate quality assurance and user acceptance. The resource will also be required to prepare and coordinate user, system and operations documentation.

2.Description of Work:

a.Description of Engagement:

The Senior GIS Developer / Technical lead will work with the clients Business Intelligence & Analytics team providing GIS application development, geocoding, and geodatabase services to the Service.

This development work will entail working with architects, application owners, customers/business user groups and consultants (both internal and external) to understand business and technical requirement; implement applications and integration solutions, using a specific set of tools to satisfy the requirements.

b.Objectives of the Specialists Engagement:

The successful applicant will:

a) contribute to all phases of the (GIS) Software Development Lifecycle for the duration of the initiative.

b) ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support the core organizational functions.

c) propose custom solutions that will integrate with other solutions or standalone to improve or contribute to the improvement of the organizational efficiency.

c.Deliverables:

The Senior GIS Developer selected for this role is responsible for the following activities and deliverables:

1. Creating Web-based GIS Business solutions

2. GIS application programming

3. The design, development, implementation and documentation of ETLs

4. Propose solutions to any issues associated to the project.

5. Prepare/coordinate user, system and operations documentation and training where required
