Our client is looking for people who are motivated and who have a drive for customer service. This is a smaller locally owned business that is growing rapidly and they are looking to add about 5-10 associates in their packaging department.

This client conducts tours every Tuesday so you would get to tour the facility prior to accepting a position with them. This is great for someone who has never done food packaging/production work because you can view the work prior to starting.

Job Description (we have 3 types of operator positions):
Cooking Department: The Cooking Department is divided into 3 Divisions. All Divisions in the Cooking Department work with food manufacturing equipment. Job requires employee to stand or walk constantly to adjust, monitor, prepare ingredients or product batches, sanitize or clean equipment. The position requires the ability to frequently (30-70% of the time) lift up to 50 lbs.

Division A (Drum Cookers and Mince Line Operator)
Operates the main cooking lines. Adjusts and monitors all aspects of the machines, reads and follows product outlines to make product within specifications. Completes required documentation. Shutdown, disassembles, cleans and reassembles machinery.

Division B (Layout, Mixer, Steamer & Shredder Operator)
Requires physical stamina. Rotates through approx. 7 positions that prepare or mix ingredients prior to cooking. Frequently is required to lift and stack ingredients that weigh 45 lbs. Operate large mixers, choppers, shredder and steam cabinets by following product specifications and documents ingredients using a PDA. Assembles, cleans and sanitizes equipment.

Division C (Liquid Ingredients, Coloring Tech. & Panning Operator)
Portions ingredients, assembles, operates small mixers, cleans and sanitize food processing equipment. Reads recipes and follows product outlines. Documents ingredient portions using a PDA.

Carruthers / Tiromat Operators requires the ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the machinery quickly. It also requires familiarity with hand tools (for assembly and disassembly of machines for cleaning purposes) familiarity with the metric system and seldom (1-10% of the time) lift up to 90 lbs.

People who fit well in a position like this would have previous baking, packaging, production or food manufacturing experience. Experience is not required but this client is looking for people who are motivated to learn and want to be part of their crew.

Background and drug screen will be conducted but this client will review and approve any charges so your background does not have to be clear.
Shifts currently available are day and night shifts (several start times for both of these shifts so you will have to visit the office to see if we have a start time that works for you)

Pay varies from $12.50-$13.25
This is a temp to perm with a client that offers wonderful benefits to their associate’s once hired on.
We pay weekly (every Friday).
