As a machinist you will program machine codes, identify the new for new components, operate various CNC machines and laser machines. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure correct specifications and machine capabilities.
What is the Job?
• Create new machining programs using G and M codes
• Identify tooling needs to create components
• Responsible for jig/fixture design to utilize cycles effectively
• Set up and operate CNC machine
What can you bring to the table?
2 years of CNC or laser related field experience
• High level of detail and experience working with precision measuring tools (height gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and tape measures) and go/No Go gauges
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and understanding tolerances to produce quality components
• Must be proficient in math skills including measurement/fraction conversion, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers/fractions and decimals
• Ability to identify non-conforming components and make necessary adjustments to make quality components
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds
• Ability to communicate in a team setting
