Job Description: The Audit Manager is responsible for managing attest, accounting and auditing engagements and related projects, maintaining the firm’s relationship with assigned clients, participating in assigned engagements’ planning process; coordinating activities with clients; supervising the performance of field work; reviewing work papers and financial statements; presenting results to clients; management; and participating in the billing and collection process.

Candidate must be capable of managing the pressures and opportunities of a growing local firm, of developing a network through which to grow the firm’s practice and possess an interest in becoming a partner in our firm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review working papers; management letters; financial statements; planning documents; audit, review and compilation reports; and communications to clients. Helps staff improve in these areas.

Directs planning, organizing, scheduling, and review of assigned engagements; delivers products to clients in a timely fashion and within budget.

Maintains regular contact with assigned clients, and keeps responsible management informed about client developments.

Handles routine client matters and technical questions, and provides audit advice that enables client to create value in their business.

Develops and maintain contacts with other professionals and business referral sources.

Supervises multiple engagements and staff at various skill levels, and provides timely constructive feedback to those supervised.

Provides timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations

Demonstrates a commitment to the firm by adhering to it policies and procedures, exhibiting appropriate behavior, acting with respect and acknowledging each individual’s dignity when interacting with staff and clients

Position Requirements:
 B.A. degree in accounting required, Master degree or continuing coursework is a plus.
 CPA license.
 Exceptional technical skills in audit and accounting.
 Big 4 or regional firm experience a plus but not required
 7 plus years current experience in public accounting required.
 3 plus years current experience as manager in public accounting required
 Possess personal integrity
 Commitment to ethical conduct and quality
 A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior consultants on multiple simultaneous engagements
 Effective verbal and written communication skills.
 Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
