Job Title: Punch Press Operator
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Shift:
- 1st shift Monday – Thursday (7:00am-4:30pm) and Friday (7:00am-11:00am)
Location: Fridley, MN
Pay: $18-$22/hr DOE (Weekly Pay!!!)
Job Description:
- Loading material or work pieces onto pallets, into boxes or other containers and on the machine
- Count and record number of units, using daily production sheets and move tickets
- Operate hand or power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Examine work pieces
- Position, align, or secure workpieces against fixtures, jugs or stops on machine beds, dies or work table
- Set up punch press machines
- Operate punch press machines
- Work other duties around departments
Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform all operations of the punch machine – this machine has a foot pedal, and operates at 120 strokes per minute – the operator is sitting during operation
- Must be willing and wanting to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must have at least 1 year of experience with setting up and operating a punch press machine
- Experience with stamping would be a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand customer prints
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English well
