Position Overview:
The Associate Strategy Director is expected to fully lead the integrated planning process and actively participate in 360° planning.  As the ultimate owner of the client relationship, the ASD will work closely with the Client Media teams to ensure a clear understanding of the overarching, high level business objectives for the client and how, strategically, PHD can align with achieving those objectives.

Therefore, the ASD will oversee and/or actively engage in development of media plan objectives and strategies, as well as own presentations, reporting, and post analyses created by the team.  Further, on a daily basis it is critical that the ASD be highly engaged with the team to ensure client deliverables follow through on commitments; quality of work exceeds expectations, and timely delivery.  It is vital for the ASD to be current with workflow, deadlines, and to facilitate positive partnering with PHD partners or other external teams.  This leader role is responsible for performance managing and supporting the growth of all team members.

Tactical Functions:
To achieve successful performance in this position, the Associate Strategy Director is expected to perform the following tactical job functions to the highest level of proficiency:

Maintain communication and develop strategic partnerships with key partners including publishers, clients, partner agencies, etc.
Provide excellent client service by being responsive, accountable, and detailed oriented.  Present media plans, POVs, innovation ideas  and other deliverables to clients and partners
Manage, mentor and motivate direct reports in order to encourage their professional development while providing daily supervision and guidance
Manage workflow, deadlines, creative partners, account liaisons, and other external teams
Lead the strategic and tactical execution of all media products within teams and clients of responsibility
Provide thought-leadership and innovation ideas to the client on an ongoing basis
Provide oversight of planning and buying process  and ensure alignment with client goals and objectives, responsible for all work product created by team of direct reports
Be proficient with trafficking and reporting tools relevant to the digital advertising industry, ensure flawless execution for trafficking, launch and quality checks for all media campaigns pre-planning to post analysis
Provide higher level of insight and analysis to campaign performance
Manage the interactive billing and reconciliation process

Requires someone with particularly strong experience in planning for all media.    Retail experience is preferred but not required.
Substantial knowledge of multiple digital media platforms and the traditional media landscape
Six plus years of agency experience
Experience in planning for the retail industry (preferred… not required)
Competency in Advertising Account Management and Production processes
Strong knowledge of and skill using syndicated interactive research applications and ad serving including but not limited to DoubleClick DART for Advertisers (DFA); comScore Media Metrix; AdRelevance; Donovan Data Systems (DDS); DoubleClick MediaVisor and equivalents; Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
