To provide high quality commercial FP&A support at an area level, contributing to the budgeting and forecasting process for the Business Stream and Group Business Review.

To play a key role in the development and implementation of overall business strategy, working alongside and mentoring the Business Manager to drive performance and set Business targets and objectives with the Regional Management Team

Develop the relationship with the area Business manager as a Business Partner, providing first line Finance support, insight and direction to the Regional Business Stream leadership team. Adding the sounding board or ‘mirror’ to decisions and discussions

Contribute to the shaping of the development and execution of the Business Stream strategy

Provision of high quality timely and accurate analysis and Business information for the area to enable the regional Business Stream to meet the changing needs of the Business

Contribute to the evaluation and critical analysis of proposals and activities and the development and critique of investment opportunities

Play a lead role in the delivering of the P&L and balance sheet objectives of the region or area providing pro-active challenge to the business stream.

Play a lead role the regional budget and forecasting process and to provide support and best practice advise to area business managers for preparations and reviews

Held accountable for accuracy of long term plans, budgets and forecasts

Production and development and reporting of KPIs for area in line with the Group model on reporting

Advise, influence and provide finance team with continuous professional development

Ad hoc management reporting and analysis in such areas as margin and profitability

Provide guidance and support in the areas of debtors, invoicing and WIP and highlighting and escalating any issues

Support and deputise for the area Business Stream Manager where appropriate

Provide support, consultancy and expertise in specific projects as appropriate

Undertaking any other projects or BAU activities as required

Degree qualified with a management accounting/commercial accounting background; a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and significant experience of operating in an international finance function, with medium to large matrix structure

Needs to understand how value is created within the business and how the wider business environment competition, supply chain market forces impacts

Successfully drive change. Proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of resourcing activities on a Regional scale. Experience in a matrix role would be beneficial.

Needs to be confident and be able to identify key stakeholders, build a strategy and positively influence them.

Be regarded as a trusted and credible resource by key stakeholders within both business stream and/or area management teams; able to build strong relationships. Have a ‘hands on’ approach, visible across the businesses with good communication and other interpersonal skills

An enthusiastic and committed team player who can establish and maintain strong relationships with regional finance managers/business leaders and across the Finance community and negotiates
