Scrum Master Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Scrum Master for contract position in Pennington, NJ. The Scrum master will be responsible for monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings for 2 -3 teams. The Scrum Master will help move them to high performing Agile teams by coaching and facilitating them with the Agile Principles. The scrum master will partner with the product managers and product owners and help the scrum teams deliver on the sprint goals by removing impediments and escalating issues to management as appropriate. The scrum master is responsible for motivating the team, championing change within the organization, and facilitating the team ceremonies including retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement from sprint to sprint. The scrum master should have sufficient technical proficiency to collaborate with subject matter experts and follow technical discussions.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with agile methodologies, routines and tools
  • Experience practicing scrum methodology in software delivery
  • Support and coach 2-3 high performing teams
  • Responsible for facilitating team level agile ceremonies
  • Remove impediments to keep the teams focus on goals
  • Ability to perform metrics-driven analysis to help team identify and implement improvements
  • Responsible for clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key project roles.
  • Ability to coach and mentor all roles in a scrum team
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure agreed/approved/appropriate value is delivered and commitments are achieved within time, cost, and quality parameters
  • Communicate risks and rewards associated with decisions and actions to stakeholders in business-oriented terms and ensure all controls are in place to sustain risk mitigation.
  • Defines and tracks key milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
  • Represents the project in various project governance and inter-department forums
  • Responsible for learning/using the bank program project reporting tools to track project status and progress updates and project deliverables

Top Skills Required:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional( CSP)
  • Strong independent leadership skills with the ability to lead a large team with minimal oversight including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills. Provide clear, concise direction to the broader team while delivering comprehensive status to senior executives, project champions and Portfolio Delivery Leads
  • Project Management experience, preferably managing technology projects, Information Security or technology background and experience using Bank of America project methodology and tools
  • Proficiency with at least one Agile Lifecycle Management tool (e.g. Rally/JIRA)
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master in a scaled agile implementation such as SAFe or LeSS
  • Strong knowledge and experience with various aspects of SDLC specifically Windows/.NET and/or Linux/Java environments/languages
