Financial Writer - Short Term Contract (BBBH16363) Baltimore, Maryland
Financial Writer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for writing articles for investment clients or internal investment materials and content for client reports or investor letters on a project or contract basis.
- Gather information on project specific areas, stay updated on grammar and project related aspects, writing small drafts, editing and proofreading the drafts.
- Create investment collateral through regular interactions with investment staff, and with marketing partners to meet distribution needs.
- Check for conceptual or grammatical errors in drafts.
- Work on articles prepared by other freelance writers, if required.
- Adhere to deadlines.
- Work on special projects if suitable, getting written work approved by the chief editor, coordinating with editing manager and administrative staff.
- Responsible for investment reporting, including shareholder reports, market updates, fund summaries.
Financial Writer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Mass Communications.
- Excellent grammar and writing skills are essential.
- Deadline oriented.
- Prior exposure to financial and investment writing through prior experience or working as contract writer may be advantageous.
