Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

We are recruiting for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager based in the York area, North Yorkshire area on a permanent full-time contract. The successful applicant will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in managing all aspects of the Food & Beverage department, areas and staff.  Competitive Salary £10.00per hour, uniform provided, meals on duty, free gym membership and parking available.  This position is full-time hours working in a rota 5 days over 7, including some weekends.

You will be an excellent motivator with Supervisor experience, with a focus on guest satisfaction and have Food & Beverage experience in a high-pressured busy environment.

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Responsibilities:

The role involves being responsible for all aspects of the Food & Beverage Department and staff when on duty.  Management and administration of the Food & Beverage department and you will be expected to have hands-on involvement in serving customers and making sure the operation is run smoothly and safely.

You will be required to work 5 days over 7 including weekends.

  • Manage Restaurants, Bars & Room Service
  • Supervise daily restaurant and bar operations
  • Assist with menu planning
  • Maintain Sanitation Standards
  • Assist Restaurant Servers during busy peak meal periods
  • Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Maximise the financial performance in areas of responsibility
  • Training Staff
  • Accountable to ensure standard obligations are followed
  • Support Food & Beverage Services Manager with tasks
  • Acknowledge and take ownership of guest and employee concerns within all aspects of sales, human resources, finance and operations
  • Manage on Duty Functions
  • Staff Rota’s
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Confident to manage a team, including, coaching, training, employee relations matters
  • Strong communicator

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Food & Beverage Supervisor experience preferred
  • Confident to manage a team, including, coaching, training, employee relations matters
  • Food & Beverage experience/knowledge
  • Strong communicator (verbal, listening and writing)
  • Well organised and self-motivated
  • A leader and team player
  • Innovative
