Seasonal Wok Chef
Castle are recruiting for a Wok Chef to join our clients Food, Beverage and Hospitality Team in the Pickering area.
All levels of experience will be considered and experience in a fast paced establishment would be advantageous
Suitable candidates will be enthusiastic and demonstrate the ability to cook at varying degrees of readiness and can prepare a variety of different dishes and understand flavourings, techniques and presentation.
You must also be flexible regarding shift times.
The role involves:
- Preparing, cooking, service and ordering of all menu items.
- Having previous experience within oriental cuisine
- Ensure all company standards of food production are met and documented.
- Ensure that all relevant pre-service, mid-service and end of service checks are completed and documented.
- To ensure all food specifications are adhered to.
- Work within all HACCP, COSHH and HSE regulations at all times
- To control wastage
- To ensure that all allergen policies are strictly adhered to.
- To ensure that all Kitchen due diligence is completed and signed off by a senior staff member.
- To clean, rotate and replenish stock levels
- To report any faults or issues to senior members of the team
- To assist other members of the team when and where necessary
The positions are seasonal until the end of October, due to it being a seasonal establishment.
Pay: £8 - £10 per hour depending on experience.
