Castle Hospitality division has an exciting opportunity and is recruiting for a Commis Chef for a local unique hospitality client based in the Scarborough, North Yorkshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commis Chef with an ambition to further his career within the kitchen for an excellent local employer.


Responsibilities:
• To help produce and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas within the business
• To help ensure the appropriate quality control measures and hygiene practices are implemented and
achieved always.
• To help achieve food budgeted cost control and ensure minimum wastage occurs within the unit
• To actively participate in the ongoing development of quality standards and menu development.
• To ensure operational areas are properly prepared and stocked for all services and functions.
• To take an active part in all training activities


THE REQUIREMENTS:
• The post holder will undertake training and development as appropriate and keep apprised of Developments
• The post holder with carry out any other duties as appropriate to the post and as requested
• In conjunction with the Head Chef, ensure the company’s Health and Safety Policy is fully promoted and arrangements have been made to carry out the policy
• To understand and have working knowledge of all current Food Hygiene and Health and Safety
legislation and to be conversant with the rules contained therein

Hours of work: Vary depending events and peak season

 

Salary: £16,000 - £16,500
