MIG Welders / Platers – Weekend Shift (BK2301) Scarborough, England
Castle Industrial and Construction are currently recruiting for several experienced MIG Welders / Platers for our client based on the outskirts of Scarborough. Our client, market leaders in their field have experienced continued growth over several years are once again looking to add to their existing team.
Duties will include;
- Plating and or MIG welding structural steel engineering projects from: 8mm-150mm thickness/3m to 26m length – up to 20 tonne.
- Working in the fabrication shop
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Use of a variety of associated hand, power and workshop tools
The ideal MIG Welder / Plater will;
- Be qualified / time served in welding and or fabrication, ideally to coded standard.
- Possess relevant fabrication and or MIG welding experience from a structural engineering background, a minimum of three years is required to be considered for this role.
- Be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Can demonstrate consistent accurate welding results.
- Have experience of safely operating overhead cranes.
Hours: This will be a weekend shift pattern working on days Friday – Sunday (37 hours in total)
Pay: £12.15 per hour up to £18.23 per hour overtime
These are permanent positions and offers will be made on completion of a successful Weld or Fabrication skills test.
