THE POSITION:

Castle Hospitality division have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter for a local unique hospitality client based on the beautiful outskirts of York, North Yorkshire area.  This fantastic opportunity could be a Live-in position if require but not essential.

Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their kitchen team who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, working as part of a lively busy team. This role will include some weekend working. The service operates a two-shift system; you will be required to work 5 days over 7, 7:00am to 3:30pm covering breakfast and lunch, and 12:15pm to 8:45pm covering lunch and supper.  We have a vacancy for a full-time Kitchen Porter for 40 hours a week on a permanent basis.

The role involves working in the kitchen areas, undertaking a range of duties to support food production, ensuring continuity of light and heavy equipment and the cleanliness of the environment.

Previous experience is not essential, but we ask that applicants are reliable, smart and of a friendly disposition.  A comprehensive, on-the-job, training program, offering the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in Hospitality and Catering.

You will undertake pot washing duties for the provision of breakfast, lunch and supper, taking ownership for maintaining cleanliness, and hygiene standards.  You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in assisting, as required, on functions at the venue.
