The Position:

Castle Hospitality division are recruiting for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager for a local unique hospitality client based in the Helmsley, North Yorkshire area.  The successful candidate is responsible for managing the Food & Beverage department for the Rosette establishment. Responsibilities:

  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service, including dealing with customer complaints promptly.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations. Raise awareness of maintenance issues.
  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol, tobacco and licensing.
  • Correctly rotate and store stock to reduce wastage.
  • Make certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct.
  • Ensure adherence to cash management procedures.
  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of all F & B areas.
  • Understand special diet, allergies and cultural needs of all customers.
  • Monitor quality and service standards for staff.
  • Maintain standards in line with the SOP.
  • Manage full Food & Beverage Department
  • Staff Recruitment & Training
  • Rally the team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts and getting the job done.
  • Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources.

  • Ensure the effective implementation of tasks through communication.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and resourcefully.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and demeanour, including courteous interactions with colleagues and employees, encountered during work.
  • Be flexible with work schedules, remain calm and courteous and exercise self-control when interacting with impatient individuals.
  • An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and local knowledge to respond to guest’s enquiries and requests.
