Castle hospitality and cleaning division are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join a busy team that covers many events and weddings as well as the day to day running of the restaurants bar facilities. The role will be managing all aspects of the bars, based across two venues, ensuring all health and safety and hygiene regulations at met. This is a full-time position that requires you to be flexible with your hours, including working evenings and weekends.
Role and Responsibilities
- To recruit and manage staff to cover outstanding customer service across all bars.
- To be aware of upcoming events so rotas are staffed correctly
- To set up various bars, including changing barrels when needed and being an involved in ordered both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- To achieve financial targets incorporating all areas of spend
- To be responsible for finances of the beverage section, ensuring all cash handling procedures are adhered too
- To liaise with the administration team to ensure all cash received and the banking of all moneys are secure and accounted for, at all times.
- To manage the staffing levels in line with peaks and troughs of the business.
- To manage the beverage sections supervisors ensuring all staff are motivated, trained and offered excellent customer service
- To work as part of the venue team and ensure smooth operation in regards to the running of the bar operation.
- To train new staff and ensure all current staff are capable of carrying out all duties.
- To ensure all training records are maintained.
- To work with the duty manager to ensure any machinery or equipment is repaired in a timely manner
- To cash up till at the end of the evening
Requirements
- Previous bar management experience
- Comfortable cashing up and setting up bars
- Excellent customer service
- Happy working flexible hours including evenings and weekends
