Head Chef

Salary: DOE

Location: York

Castle Hospitality and Cleaning division are looking for an experienced head chef to take overall responsibility as a head chef for an establishment that has many kitchens with varying dining outlets. This is a fast moving environment, serving over 2000 covers a day to a diverse customer base. 

Main Duties

Deputising for events as well as taking complete controls of various kitchens across one site

Responsible for leading preparing a high level of food and service at all times

Creating menus for a varied customer base

Ensuring allergen policy is followed at all times

Brief front of house staff before service

Ordering and regulating stock

Managing and minimising food wastage and stock

Following all food hygiene, health and safety, HACCP and COSHH legislation and policy 

Managing a team of chefs

Training new staff
