Sous Chef

Sous Chef (souschef) Whitby, England

Castle hospitality and cleaning are looking for an experienced Sous Chef or Chef de Partie for a beautiful high end hotel and Restaurant in Whitby.

You must have experience working in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel, that uses local produce and offer good quality menu’s and specials. Ideally you will have qualification within the catering to help back up your experience although this is not essential.

Requirements

  • To work as a chef within a busy kitchen that provides good quality meals
  • To run the kitchen when the head chef is on annual leave
  • To be able to man the stove and control the running of all main dishes to ensure all food goes out well cooked and on a timely manner
  • Full or part time hours for the right candidate and transport home will be provided if you don’t have your own transport, however you will be expected to make your own way to work
  • To Train Junior Members - cover the Head Chef on his days off
  • Working in a team of 4 in kitchen 
  • Ordering Stock 
  • Working from 10.00am-10.00pm - some straight shifts & some split shifts so need to flexible on this
  • Maintaining busy restuarant & bar - up to 100 covers in restuarant

We can offer live in up to £25K depending on experience
