This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for person with good recent experience in a similar 1st-2nd line IT support role to join a busy and expanding technical services department. A good understanding of Microsoft servers, client operating systems, MS office applications, networking skills, hardware / software troubleshooting etc. is required. Good opportunities exist to work towards 2nd line skills in this role with paid certification as they are a MS Gold Partner.
Desired Skills & Experience (as many as possible but not necessarily all):
Windows Server 2000 and above
Windows Client OS XP and above
Microsoft Office products 2000 to 2013
Microsoft Office 365 (1 year + experience preferred)
Exposure to Microsoft Share Point
Microsoft Exchange
OS Image Deployment
Hardware and software fault diagnosis
DHCP / DNS IP addressing / routing
Network Devices (Printers, Routers, Access Points)
Driving licence required
This is a role that involves dealing with my client's customers on a day to day basis. Therefore outstanding customer service and communication skills in English are essential!
Role and Responsibilities:
Responding to phone calls and logging cases within agreed SLA's
Liaising with customers effectively and courteously when working on support cases
Maintaining relevant technical qualifications
Operating within specified metrics as set by the operations manager
Site attendance as and when required
Monitoring and responding to alerts raised by our network management system
Supporting other engineers on projects if required
