PHP Developers (full stack) with either Magento OR Drupal experience.    

Liverpool, Merseyside. (Will consider part home working for North West based people) 

£35,000 - £45,000 pa based on experience and seniority + great benefits. 

Experienced full Stack PHP Developers required by award-winning, fast growing, full-service digital agency with 100+ staff. You will be a keen PHP developer, who has a keen interest in high performance and secure web development. The role will primarily consist of day to day development of websites and web applications (many of which are for high profile repeat business household name clients), primarily also using Magento 1 or 2 or Drupal 7 + 8 depending on your knowledge and experience. 

Required Skills and Experience:   

An understanding of object oriented software development  

Strong knowledge and experience with the PHP and related technologies.

Experience of working within a structured development environment and tool set

Strong analytic skills

Experience of the full software life cycle

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrate a passion for the industry and new technology

Show initiative, be able to share ideas and push the development team forward

Ability to take a project lead position and mentor and supervise less senior developers will be expected at the higher end of the salary grade.  

Tech stack: 

Strong experience with full stack PHP inc MYSQL 

Experience of Drupal or Magento - must have decent commercial experience of at least one of these on top of PHP and MySQL  and front end skills. 

Solid understanding of object orientated design and best practices

MySQL 5 including experience with database design, writing queries/procedures and optimisation

Good solid work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as jQuery etc. Company also uses Angular and React.js

The Role: 

You must show an interest in modern development technologies, being able to share knowledge and help others as required. You will get involved in the whole development life-cycle and effective time management and prioritisation is key

Database design and development is at the core of every project so you must, therefore demonstrate the ability to design and construct databases in MySQL including indexes, normalisation, writing stored procedures and queries

The candidate must also demonstrate their ability to write solid efficient PHP code, implement unit tests, contribute to design and algorithm decisions and have a passion for problem-solving. You will also perform optimisation and build secure websites and applications
