Based Oxford £70,000 to £90,000 p.a. + bonus + benefits
The Role
As Project Director - Chemicals, you will lead and manage a specialist market leading engineering facility with responsibilities including management of:
- technical specialists including Gases, Cryogenics, Control Systems, HSE etc.
- plant control systems and the planning & delivery of all test activity
- appropriate processes / governance / HSE across the operations
- manufacture / installation / commissioning / sub-contracting control etc.

The Person
As Project Director - Chemicals you will be a qualified professional with substantial experience within a Test, Trial, Technical, Research & Development environment within a production, operations or engineering facility. Able to lead, inspire and motivate your team, you will have management experience of technical / specialist teams (e.g. chemical engineering / gases / cryogenics / test control equipment & technologies, possibly explosives) in safety critical environments with high HSE profiles. Experience within the following sectors is desirable:
- developing / installation / commissioning test equipment
- ATEX, PED, COMAH environments
- Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Lean, CI, Best practice manufacturing sectors
- delivery of high grade outputs, to time, quality and budget
- fast-growth, fast change environments
