The Role

As Maintenance & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for successful provision of a safe and suitable manufacturing facility, including hard and soft services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ongoing project based and reactive changes. Ensuring effective site management, PPM and emergency / incident responses and supporting the HSE team, responsibilities include:

  • control of site services e.g. security, cleaning, catering, landscapes & parking
  • managing utilities and energy efficiency and compliance with environmental regulations
  • maintenance of plant and equipment in the factory and on site
  • leading on preventative actions (business continuity / emergency response planning)
  • waste management for the site ensuring legal compliance and minimisation
  • mentoring and training of team members and apprentices
  • liaising with outside bodies for permits, consents, materials, services & supply
  • project management and supervising / coordinating work of contractors

The Person

As Maintenance & Facilities Manager, you will have significant experience in a similar FM hard and soft services role, managing facilities and capital projects in a manufacturing, engineering or production facility, maintenance depot or similar. With a relevant qualification / vocational training in facilities management or a related engineering discipline you will also have:

  • people management & maintenance team leadership experience
  • ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • working knowledge of environmental regulations / health & safety requirements
