Derby based Chartered Property Surveyor / Property Portfolio Manager for rapidly expanding commercial and business property venture

The Role

As Chartered Property Surveyor you will manage the property, commercial trading and business development activities of the existing retail portfolio to deliver the strategic retail plan and business objectives. Responsibilities will include:

  • optimising value of trading estate, leveraging group scale to maximise profit
  • developing strong commercial relationships with new and existing retailers
  • developing business relationships to drive bottom line
  • property management - contracts / heads of terms / surveys / tenant audit etc.
  • marketing / letting of vacant property through relevant channels
  • providing budgetary information, periodic income forecasting etc.
  • internal / external audits, RICS rules, regulations & guidance, safety & security processes
  • managing the process for community leases

Our client is a major European business with B2C customer focused activities and a major player in the UK market and regions through a number of subsidiary companies.

The Person

As Chartered Property Surveyor you will be RICS qualified. Conversant with property law, project management software and IT / CAD property systems you will have experience in large-scale property management within the business / commercial / trading property sector. A proven negotiator, with experience in managing a turnover rent portfolio, knowledge and understanding of business planning you will have a track record of delivery in a challenging financial climate.
