Salary: GBP35000 - GBP40000 per annum + pro rata

This is a part-time role with hours to suit ( child-friendly as required ) by arrangement – potentially 20 to 25 hours per week / 3 days each week etc.

Permanent PART-TIME friendly hours HR Manager role with successful North London distributor  

The Role

As HR Manager you will work in close partnership with senior management to prepare and implement HR strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • advising managers / providing guidance on HR issues
  • providing recruitment support / managing inductions
  • keeping up to date with UK employment legislation
  • managing investigations / employee relations issues
  • maintaining HR Best Practice / policy & procedures
  • developing & maintaining employee performance appraisal systems
  • maintaining employee records e.g. maternity, paternity leave, absence, sickness etc.
  • coordinating work placement, intern and apprenticeship processes

This is a part-time role, exact hours to be discussed, but probably 3 days each week, or 20 to 25 hours per week.

The Company

Our London based client is one of Europe’s leading importers and distributors of quality products from around the world. They operate from offices and two large warehousing facilities in the UK with their own dedicated sourcing offices / fulfilment centres in China and India.

The Person

As HR Manager you will have a relevant qualification (CIPD) and/or experience working in commercial business. With proven HR generalist experience at operational and strategic level, you will have:

  • knowledge of current UK employment law and legislation
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong planning / project management skills
